Maestoso II harpsichord. Built in Vancouver B.C. Completely
restored by original designer and maker, a master
craftsman. All new strings and precise scaling, new
plectra, etc. Length 5 ft. 2?, width 3 ft 2?. Handsome
light oak finish with Rosewood keys. Single manual
with 57 key range from A? to f???. Two string choirs,
one 4? and one 8?, either playable singly or coupled
by knee levers. Buff stop. Excellent playing condition.
A fine instrument for personal use or as continuo.
Can be tuned or serviced by owner or most local piano
tuners. Strings, plectra and all parts readily available
from maker. Valued at $6,500.00. Price negotiable

Harpsichord built in 1912, this harpsichord has 2 manuals
and 2 sets of strings 4\', 8\', 16\'. With lute stops
and coupler. The action has been rebuilt by Bjarne Dahl
to be light, fast and even. The plectra are in good
condition. The instrument holds pitch extremely well
and has beautiful tone. In excellent condition. |

These instruments were very popular in Europe, Venice had many great
craftsmen whom created these incredible instruments. Many famous
composer have written classical master pieces on the harpsichord.
This instrument has a set uniform volume. Was used in classical
chamber and orchestral music. hough nowadays the piano is more popular
but an old harpsichord would normally be 1000s and they often hold
their value.
