in quite a dark wood. A bit scratched, but I will
have it tarted up if you are interested. Child is
reluctant to let this instrument go as she loves its

Dilworth. Has a deep brown varnish over a yellow ground,
head & ribs
of maple and table of two matched pieces of spruce.
LOB 753mm, upper
bouts 247mm, lower bouts 432mm. Formerly owned by
the Principal of the
Royal Philharmonic. Very rich and even tone. Good
projection suitable
for professional and concerto use. Well maintained
in good and stable
condition fitted with Larsen strings. May be seen
in London by
arrangement.

I bought this cello 14 years ago from 'The Violin
Shop' Blackpool for £3500 (still have original
receipt). It was re-valued four years ago at the 'Beverly
Music Centre' for £8000. As you can see from
the photos the cello is in excellent condition and
has helped me to Grade 8 and a major performance degree.
Also included in the sale is a fibreglass hard case
and a bow.
Technical spec is as follows. Cello has a two peice
back of well flamed maple of narrow curl, with ribs
and head well matched. The table of pine has a grain
of medium width and the varnish colour is golden brown.
The state of the preservation is excellent. |

have owned this 'cello for over 35 years. I am looking
for a good home for it as I now rarely play it. It
is a fine instrument with a golden brown varnish,
a back of faint medium curl, ribs and grafted neck
of bold narrow curl.As it has signs of restoration,it
is valued at £2,500. It is in good playing order
with a lovely tone. There is a soft case included
but the bow needs replacing.

made to set the cello up correctly. This includes: plane
fingerboard to correct curvature, reshape nut, refit
