Description / condition = Very little used - about
once a week for lessons until 5 years ago, then remained
in its case unused. Recently checked over and in very
good playing condition. No wear to the plating on
the keys. Wood in perfect condition with no repairs.
The following email was sent by the manufacturer to
confirm its origin in September 2010.
"The
Moennig bassoon with the serial number 17362 is a
model 208/4. It was made and finally delivered in
March 1999.
It is a standard model with 24 keys and 5 rollers.
The metal parts are silver plated. The special thing
on this bassoon is the brown colour. Normally these
bassoons are darkred stained, but this colour was
a special wish of the customer."

Schreiber 5031 bassoon in Alpine Maple, serial no.
#27564.
It's
in really great condition - hardly been played all
the time I've had it. Fully refurbished recently by
John Coppen Woodwind in London, including new pads,
cleaned, oiled and corks replaced.
Comes
with case, 2 crooks, reed case and seat strap. The
case is a bit battered here and there, but still perfectly
fine.
The
manufacturer's new price for these instruments is
?7050, so grab yourself a bargain!
Would
prefer if the buyer collected owing to the bulkiness
and value of the instrument, but I will try to organise
insured postage if necessary. Will be willing to drop
off within reasonable distance of London, or anywhere
near the M1/A1/Southern Scotland as I'm going up there
for Christmas!
