Much
loved and well looked after Adler Bassoon seeks new
home. It was bought at a time when I was playing in
several orchestras but due to other commitments I
have played it less and less. Instrument is in excellent
condition bought in 1997 brand new. To buy such an
instrument would cost ca. £4,000
The
bassoon has a lovely rich and deep tone and would
suit either advanced players or those starting out.
It
also comes with a durable carry case - with deep velvet
lining (all still intact) 3 straps (one long one,
two short to carry like a rucksack) room for 3 crooks.

The
Bassoon
The
bassoon, is actually lower than the oboe, and it is shorter than
a man (despite being longer than the other woodwind instruments),
and can be broken down into manageable parts. Commonly used in orchestras
for classical music. It has a series of complex keys and is played
by overblows over the double reed as an oboe. Constructed of wood
and metal composites.
