Description / condition = Purchased directly in paris from Marigaux SML by my father -who was its only player.
During his professional career at the BBC and other orchestras (Radio2/Radio3 etc.)
Has a top section crack ,which has been reapired but cosmetically needs modrn std of finish.
Requires re padding and service. very Bottom key spring requires replacing.
Estimated at £2300-2800 when fully serviced/repaired, and just under £2000 currently .Serious interests will be supplied detailed photos.

The Howarth S10 (previously known as the S10B), a long-established student model oboe, is recommended by leading teachers and chosen by Education Authorities and Music Services throughout the U.K.
It is recognised as the best student English system oboe available and indeed many of today's professional players began lessons on a Howarth B Model oboe.
The instrument is particularly suitable for students because the design specification includes close finger spacing for the smaller hand and the instrument is light in weight for ease of handling.

in cocobolo wood, reluctant to see it go but need

This Bassoon is a fantastic instrument. It is made
by Puchner which, along with Heckel, is widely considered
as one of the two top makers of Bassoon.
This particular instrument served me very well throughout
my time as a Bassoon student and supported me during
my studies at the Royal Academy of Music.
It is a Model 22 which is one down from the professional
model, 23 ,which makes this ideal for a student or
semi-professional.
The Bassoon has a beautiful warm, sonorous tone and
perfectly displays the rich Germanic tones favoured
by a lot of Bassoonists.
This model has been overhauled by London's specialist
woodwind shop and is in great condition.
